Run Home

As with Amy, I'm doing a theme a month for the photo a day challenge. Not sure how I'll come up with 12 themes but I can't think of anything I want to take 366 pictures of. At least I know what I want to do for February (I live in Vancouver - take a wild guess what it'll be!).

January's theme is "Start of Training Season." Today's shot is from my run home:

I'm still figuring out my camera (part of the reason for doing this challenge) and am having issues focussing on what I want to be the focal point of a picture. Apologies for the fuzziness.
The run was great, and I managed to get home in time to catch the end of the first period of the Juniors final. Yikes! Second period just started, gotta go!!!

Good on you for having a theme for January! I don't have a theme this month, but one of my goals is to be able to take better photos of the kids. Not every photo will be of them, but it's one of the things I'm working on.

After taking a picture of my bike and a pile of swim caps the theme seemed to work.

I like your "sort of" theme - more pictures of the boys are always good. Maybe February shoukld be about self-portraits? I need more shots of my sister!

where is that photo taken?

Burrard Bridge, the North Side about 100m from the turretts and trusses in the middle. I cropped the photo to remove the Aquatic Centre - the heron on the roof was cool but made the picture too busy.

I came into the comments to ask the same question as Joanne. Great shot!

Thanks Brian! It works well with my blog's blue background.
