My sister just issued a challenge - take a photo a day every day this year and post it online.
This came up as I was given a very lovely camera for Christmas (I know the colour isn't as important as how well it takes pictures but it's RED and very, very pretty!). I do need to get in some practice with it, especially as my parents have become extremely accomplished photographers and I need to keep the quality of my shots so as not to totally embarass them.
This seems like a lot of work, as Claire tried to convince me I was thinking that I really didn't want to commit to doing it. At the same time, however, I was looking at my bike thinking that the shadows it cast were quite interesting and I wondered if a shot with the bike (or a piece of it) in the foreground and the shadow behind would look cool. While I was distracted my sister somehow got me to agree!
I'm actually posting two shots as I can't decide which one I like better. What do you think? Give me your vote! And yes, I know Rosie is dirty and needs to be cleaned, but she's a tough bike and can deal with a bit of grit.
Claire will also be taking pictures, as soon as she tells me where she'll be posting them I'll give you the link.
If you'd like to join the challenge, let me know and give me the address where you'll be posting your pictures. If someone more web/blog savvy than me has a better suggestion of where/how to post these please let me know.

To clarify the rules, you don't have to post the pictures every day, but you do need to take one every day.
